Melanie Berdis

Melanie is a graduate from Gannon University with a MS in Community Counseling. Melanie has worked previously in the Erie area in a variety of milieus serving both adults and children with mental health, behavioral and Drug & Alcohol issues. Melanie started at Lakeshore on Valentine’s Day in 2011 as a Blended Case Manager. Melanie worked as a Case manager for 4 years and was promoted to BCM Supervisor. Shortly, after Melanie was a BCM Supervisor for 8 months, she was promoted to Mental Health Services Coordinator. This position eventually merged into her present position of Director of Mental Services. As part of her role, she oversees three departments and tries to not forget where she started. Often Melanie is trying to streamline and make things efficient for her staff and programs. Using the motto “work smarter not harder”. Melanie door is always open and tries to be available at any time. Melanie is willing to do what it takes to make it work for the MH staff in order to provide quality services to our consumers.

When Melanie is not working you can find her spending time with her family and friends making everyday count.
